I started with trivia and grew from there. Since 2017, I've spent more than 900 nights behind a microphone hosting trivia, karaoke, Name That Tune, private events, and the occasional wedding ceremony.
That's enough nights to learn that the best host usually isn't the loudest person in the room.
Trivia came first in 2017. Karaoke followed in 2019. Somewhere along the way came Name That Tune, private events, DJ work, and officiating weddings.
They're different kinds of events, but the part I like about all of them is pretty much the same: there's a room full of people who came out to do something together, and I get to help make the night work.

Those numbers come from years of score sheets, calendars, and gig records — not an optimistic guess after a long Saturday night.
That's basically the job. Be prepared. Know what's happening next. Make people comfortable participating. Fix problems without turning them into a production. And remember that nobody came out because they wanted to spend the evening listening to the host talk.
I work throughout the Chester County / greater Philadelphia area and northern Delaware. If you're outside that area, ask anyway.
